7-Day Anxiety Reset with God · Day 7 of 7

Day 7: Walking Forward in Peace

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”

— John 14:27

Jesus spoke these words the night before His crucifixion. Hours from the most intense suffering imaginable — betrayal, arrest, a trial, death. And in that moment, He gave peace. Not as a parting gift to ease the goodbye. As a permanent inheritance.

The peace He gives is structurally different from what the world offers. The world gives peace as an outcome: when the situation improves, when the relationship heals, when the uncertainty clears, then you can have peace. Jesus gives it as a gift in the middle of what remains unresolved.

This means the peace available to you today does not depend on your anxiety being gone. It does not depend on the situation resolving. It does not depend on you feeling peaceful. It is given — present tense, available now — as a ground to stand on while the storm continues.

You have walked seven days. You have paused spirals, released burdens, narrowed your focus to today, chosen trust in overwhelm, named fears, and rested. You are not the same as you were on Day 1 — not because everything is resolved, but because you have practiced returning to God.

Walk forward. Not with the pressure to maintain a perfect peace. With the knowledge that when you lose it — and you will, because you are human — you know the way back. That is what this week gave you: not the destination, but the direction.

You do not graduate from anxiety. You build a deeper relationship with the God who is present in it. The peace Jesus gives grows in the practice — every day you return to these habits, every time you choose trust over analysis, every morning you anchor before the day sets your mind for you. Walk forward. He goes with you.

Review your seven days. Look back at what you wrote in the reflection questions. Which day landed most deeply? Which practice will you keep? Write one commitment: the one practice from this week you will continue daily. That is your anchor going forward.

Lord, I have walked seven days with You through anxiety, fear, overthinking, and overwhelm. I am not the same as I was on Day 1 — not because everything is resolved, but because I have practiced returning to You. Let the peace You give — the kind that is not as the world gives — be what I carry forward. Not into a perfect life. Into the real one. With You. Amen. 🤍

Looking back at this week: what has shifted? What is one thing you know now about yourself, your anxiety, and your relationship with God that you did not know seven days ago?

You completed Day 7. You're growing in peace. 🤌
